Mother's Day and Birthday Week
Well the tent FINALLY arrived. Target had a much bigger tent at a cheaper price. I don't think I will be purchasing anything from Sears soon. They have really gone downhill in the last 10 years. This tent sleeps 8 and divides into 2 rooms. The screened-in porch was a bonus.
Nathan and I camped out last Thursday night. We watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and it didn't take long before he was fast asleep. And what a peaceful sleep it was. I am a huge lover of tents and I hope I pass on that love to Nathan. There is something special about sleeping under the stars and listening to the night sounds of frogs, birds, crickets and all of the other critters that crawl around late in the night. The lightning bugs made an appearance and a coyote howled early in the morning. We awoke to a chilly morning so we snuggled under the blankets until George popped into the tent with breakfast.
I spent a nice Mother's Day with my children, George and the inlaws at the 4H Center for a buffet luncheon. The two of them ran all over the place and it was nice to see folks I haven't seen in quite a while.
