So You Just Roll On With It.....

It's mornings like these where I am extremely grateful for the meds I have on hand to combat nausea. One of the complications of pancreatitis is nausea and it can strike at any time without warning. Today is one of those days. So I take it easy and restrict my diet to just liquids and this too shall pass. I can remember days not so long ago when nausea was an everyday occurence. That along with a gnawing pain in the upper abdomen are too much to handle and it's off to the hospital for a week's visit. But since my beaten pancreas has stopped producing enzymes I either get pain or nausea, hardly ever both at the same time as before. So that is probably the only good thing to come of it.We have our first tee-ball game this Saturday in Sedley. I think Nathan is more excited to dress up in a uniform than he is wanting to play the game. Coaching this age has really taught me patience I didn't think I had. I am so used to coaching middle and high schoolers, but with this group I feel like I am constantly teaching them to pay attention to what is going on. It's probably going to be the longest hour and fifteen minutes of my life Saturday. :)

Nottoway celebrated dress up as a clown day last Friday. His teacher said he kept it on for about 20 minutes until he complained it was itching him.

The early garden is cranking. The garden peas are about 4 inches tall, potatoes, onions, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, kale, spinach and beets are in the ground. Looking forward to planting the flower garden at the end of the month!
