Trick or Treat Cubed!

WOW!! A three day weekend of candy. That is what these 2 hooligans have and will experience by the end of the weekend. We went downtown last night to the local businesses who handed out candy and then to the church parking lot where congregation members held trunk or treating in their parking lot. They have been on a sugar high since Nathan's school party Friday afternoon.

The past week has seen almost 3 inches of much needed rain. The pecans are falling everywhere and I am gathering them daily.

This is one of my pecan gatherers. She loves to pick up pecans, branches, leaves and cotton to put in the bucket. It's all the same to her, and no she is not secretly giving me the finger. This is actually how she points at everything. It's incredibly awkward when we're out shopping and she spots something by flipping the bird.

We've put the fire pit to use a couple of times. Walmart had these huge marshmallows which are probably the equivalent of 4 regular ones. They were sooooo good!!

It's hard to believe that the month of October is almost over. Nathan keeps reminding us that his birthday month is coming up. We're planning a bowling party with his classmates. His birthday officially falls on Thanksgiving Day, he was born on a Thanksgiving Day in '04. I find it hard to believe he'll be 6!! In the blink of an eye my little guy is growing up and learning more and more each day.
