As Time Goes By....

A wonderful Mother's Day and a relaxing 45th birthday in the same week. I enjoyed homemade birthday cards, lots of hugs and a delicious dinner cooked by my hubby. I received some more charms for my Bauble LuLu bracelets and roses picked by my son from our garden. I am so blessed.

Thank God he's a country boy. I'm starting to teach him chords on his guitar. I catch him in front of his long length mirror strumming away to John Denver.

They're plenty of ladybugs around the farm. You never know where they'll land. This one favored Nathan while he was playing in the sandbox.

The garden is starting to crank. To the far left are garden peas that I have been picking for the past week or so. They're so good with butter! We got the tent up last week and we've slept in it once. It was AB's first time and I believe she is hooked. We toasted marshmallows, ate popcorn and watched The Backyardigans. We hope to do it again this weekend if the weather cooperates. We've had rain and thunderstorms every evening.

Miss Ellie is such a trooper when it comes to these kiddies of ours. The ole girl will turn 11 in September and has put up with her share of being written on with crayons, markers and paints and the occasional tail-pulling and she takes it all in stride. The ever faithful bulldog.
