It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

We pulled out a majority of the decorations this past week and I've been busy putting them everywhere! Each year it seems to be more....stuff. AnnaBelle has rearranged everything to suit her taste. She tried to yank down these bows when we were gathering pecans one day.
The latter part of the week was spent at the ER and the orthopedic surgeon's office. Nathan and his Daddy were wrestling on the floor when Nathan took a leaping jump on George, got his arm tangled in his Daddy's feet and...the damage was done. I don't know who feels worse, George or Nathan. We went to the ER Thursday and they put it in a soft cast. Friday we saw Dr. Patel and he diagnosed a bruised elbow and strained ligaments. He has to wear another soft cast until Tuesday of next week. Do you know how hard it is to keep a 6 year old boy still? Don't bother answering it physically cannot be done. But I did my best and after a few days of him adjusting to it, it's still impossible to keep him still. They gave me Tylenol 3 to give him. I call it his "ugly attitude" medicine. It makes him extremely irritable. I switched to his Motrin when he told me he didn't have anymore pain.

My little dish fairy and her sidekick showed up to do the dishes (pre-wrestling injury)
This is AnnaBelle's favorite evening ritual before dinner now.

The weatherman is calling for snow tonight. An alberta clipper is making its way through the region, but it's still uncertain how much if any we will recieve. Nothing could top last year's accumulation, or could it? I thought this was a La Nina year? One thing about the weather in southeastern Virginia, if you don't like it, wait about 10 minutes.

Icicles are going up today. *fingers crossed* I have done all of the kiddies Christmas shopping online and it has already been delivered and hidden well. They are going to have such a great one this year. AB is getting her first Little Tikes basketball goal and Nathan is getting a pitching machine and an electric guitar, along with so much other stuff I can't wait to play with myself. I think I am going to regret that electric guitar choice a few days after Christmas. Stay tuned to find out about that one.
